Been there, done that, and I understand the initial pain. What I normally do
in those situations is ask for time to adapt and in no time people are
cranking along as they were before. In 9 out of 10 cases the adaption period
is short and if I removed the change today I would get the same reaction.

On the other hand, when I create a situation where I created pain or did not
go far enough to make it better, I love when my users provide me feedback in
a reasonable way.
