I just supported someone on Windows 7, and couldn't find the printer control
panel
applet. Oh, it's "Devices and Printers" now. Duh, I'm so stupid, I should have
known
that.

Good thing I noticed the search box there, and good thing it worked, at least.

I then wanted to remove a program, and looked for "Add/Remove Programs". Didn't
see
it, so I reasoned that they probably moved it to "Administrative Tools".
Glanced at
the choices. Ah, "Computer Management" sounds right. Oh, look, "Services and
Applications". Right, on they finally put this applet in a sensible place.
Oops,
nope, it is just the old services applet. Ok, back to the main Control Panel
screen,
and find that "Add/Remove Programs" was just renamed to "Programs and Features".

When is a program a feature? Is this Microsoft poking fun at themselves for
their
buggy software?

Paul
