You may have missed my earlier email. I'm a huge fan of Webfaction as well. They're about as best as you can get in my book. Really, I'm that pleased with this vendor. I've been a customer for 4 months. We're using their service for back office type 'internal' applications built using simple Python scripts. I think we're on ~$20/month plan. We have a fixed IP address and we're using a wildcard subdomain SSL certificate that protects multiple sub-domains.
