Malcolm: I am a novice when it comes to web stuff, but Web Faction has been incredibale! I have multiple sites, multiple mailboxes and I think I pay $7.95 per month. All of the videos are done by people in London. If you google ISP satisfaction you will actually find a link to how Webfaction has no complaints. With their installed software, videos, reputation, ease of setup, and the fact that I have been using them for two years - they are the best in my book. YMMV
If you use a long process like Djano or Ruby you need an ISP like Webfaction.
