Don't buy their stuff.

The only way these corporations that are destroying America are going to
listen is when their sales revenue drops off of a cliff.

Hey Pete - I totally hear ya... 

For my AlienWare computer - ALL support (Tech, Sales, Financial) - is ALL
located in like South America. I forget the exact location. And almost every
time I get people on the phone who sound like clueless idiots. And, owning
this Alienware Laptop has been the worst HW ownership fiasco ever! I sent it
back to them TWICE already - and they could never fix all the problems - and
claimed I should send it back again - at which point I said I wanted to get
rid of it - and can't they swap me for a Dell (since Dell owns them now).
They claimed they are not directly linked, so its not possible - and,
besides - I've had the laptop for over a year now - and there's nothing they
can do (like refunding $$$) - except for me to send it in for repairs again
(at which point they would WIPE the whole system again - without ACTUALY
fixing the heart of the problems)!

As for Virgin Mobil - I have one also - kinda my pay-as-you-go backup phone.
I tried calling them several times - and those people on the phone sounded
like MORE Idiots than the Alienware support people. Plus - they are in some
massive room with Shitloads of other people and its HORRIBLY Noisy - I could
barely hear them on the phone cause of the background noise - and I would
keep demanding they repeat what they said...

I sure HATE calling Tech support!

Oh - by the way - I think this thread should have been posted in [OT] -
since its kinda too far off topic - and only relates in regards to mentioned
Gateway. But, that just my opinion - and along with $2.50 I can get on a
subway in NYC!

services are supported in the US...

I had occasion to call Gateway a while ago...

But today when my Virgin Mobil service gummed up, the phone team turned out
to be in the Philippines...
