Free works great for most things, but doesn't allow file transfer 
(easily anyway).  There's probably more things different from Free to 
Pro, but that's the largest, in my eyes.

In machines YOU control, yes, I would agree with you just fine.  But my 
point was that LMI is great for supporting machines that I do NOT control.
