Peter,
Dragon dictate. Not expensive and very good. It also has an activeX
interface you can drive if you are brave enough and will deal with .wav,
.wma files as input.

Subject: RE: [NF] Audio to text conversion

Hi All

Any one know of a program to convert an Audio File to Text.

My Wife Vera has been asked by her boss to use a Digital Voice recorder
to take dictation at meetings. They have given her an Olympus DR2000
DVR.

I have downloaded the manual and I think I have enough info there to
teach her how to record the meetings onto a Laptop. Somehow I think
they are expecting to be able to get her computer to convert the Audio
to text to be input straight into Word for example. My wife is not a
good typist and definitely not an Audio Typist.

Cheers

Peter Hart.
