I'm not sure remembering it is the key to not repeating it. The Dems have been invoking the memory of the Great Depression every time a Republican has been in office ever since. Now they have a nice juicy government-induced, government-exacerbated financial crisis, and they seem determined to seize the opportunity to recreate the Great Depression and institutionalize it on a global scale.
