Well, is there someone there who can do what you do? If not, you should be safe (...but of course, prepare for the worst). > > > > Already lined up a consulting gig for the folks I used to work for. Why 60% if you're sure of what he's getting? Why not come in at at least 80% and negotiate down to 60% if you must? > > > > Anyways - for those of you that do consulting work, are your rates > holding up or are you finding yourself having to lower them just to get > the work? I bid this small rewrite at $2400 whereas I know it would have been at least $4000 if I kept my normal rate. Times are tight for both sides of the equation, so hence my flexibility to this loyal client who's also suffering the economic blues. Some folks though are having no problems at all out there, and I'm sure happy for them! Their stories keep me optimistic! _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
