Got my hours cut to 32/wk... still have bennies, but....   I think the
end may be near. This company is less than half the size it was when I
started here last August (from 225 to 100).

 

Already lined up a consulting gig for the folks I used to work for. The
guy that was there before me does some work for them and I know what he
charges so I know they are willing to pay at least that much... but I
think I'll charge about 60% of that with some strict rules about
payments and availability and such...

 

Anyways - for those of you that do consulting work, are your rates
holding up or are you finding yourself having to lower them just to get
the work?  I'm pretty sure I'll be hanging out my consulting shingle
soon and I might need a reality check...
