Any Word Mail Merge gurus out there know how to simulate multi detail bands?
I have a vfp app which generates a dbf of people who should receive a word document selected by the user and this works just fine, ie, I've got automation doing the merge automatically. The problem is on some of the letters, there needs to be a fare chart dynamically populated for each letter who's source comes from a different dbf in our app. The chart for example is 20 rows of 5 columns each, which need to be formatted in a table in the letter. If I try to flatten it out into 1 single dbf I'll likely run out of fields (ie > 255). I also considered automation to generate the fare chart portion, but I'm not sure how I'd do that in the middle of processing the merge. Anyone have any ideas?
