Don't be so sure. I mean, if the Republicans had picked "anybody but McCain" perhaps that conventional wisdom would be the case. But this year I think we're doomed unless Barry is nailed hard on something really obvious. I thought briefly his chucking of his pledge regarding public financing would get more play, but the media would have little to none of it, and apparently the great masses of plain people are in no mood for intellectual consistency this year... they want high-sounding platitudes and the reassurance that doing everything the opposite of how we've ever done it will put everything back on the same prosperous, free track. He's done a fine job making his gun control position non-obvious to the average moron (no offense to Leland intended, who is by no means an average moron ;) ). I don't expect McCain to help sharpen the distinctions between Obama Primary and Obama General, because he himself has no idea from day to day what his own position will be. Anyway... How you been? Sorry I have been so busy and out of touch. - Bob > -- > Regards, > > Pete > http://pete-theisen.com/ _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
