Which "they" are you talking about?  I thought that EVERY group that
regarded the bible as their foundation did it's own tweaking to fit the
leaders of the time.

The Catechism goes into a great deal of that history.  Some books of the Old
Test. not found in some versions of a Protestant religion.  Sounds normal to
me.  We don't agree with that book.

Move the stuff that no longer applies?  hahahahaha
