Alan,
Well all their MSE's were/are up to date and I'm afraid it didn't catch it so I 
guess it is probably a new derivative which hasn't yet been uploaded into the 
definitions.

I know that the infected machine was completely updated as I reloaded windows 7 
onto i myself 10 days ago and updated MSE and also when I looked at the machine 
after the infection the first thing I did was look at the definitions to see 
that they were up to date.
