Interesting comment Steve. You apparently believe we have nothing to do with accountability to past or future generations. If we promised those former UAW workers benefits, we owe it to them.
If we can't pay them what we owe them, then perhaps we need to find executives that can do the job without raping and pillaging their company. What I find ironic is those that say we shouldn't honor our obligations to other workers will bitch the most when their own benefits are not honored. -----Original Message----- From: ProFox [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Stephen Russell Sent: Thursday, May 02, 2013 11:01 AM To: ProFox Email List Subject: Re: [NF] The Tech Industry's Darkest Secret: It's All About Age On Thu, May 2, 2013 at 9:52 AM, Ken Dibble <[email protected]> wrote: > > You wouldn't have any software companies because the market had too > many >> barriers to enter and or endure. >> > > This is the standard whine of all business people. The items you are citing remind me of how the UAW has thousands of retired workers all of whom expect healthcare. That meant that each vehicle produced had 500+ fee for all of those foremer employees benefits. -- Stephen Russell Sr. Analyst Ring Container Technology Oakland TN 901.246-0159 cell --- StripMime Report -- processed MIME parts --- multipart/alternative text/plain (text body -- kept) text/html --- [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://mail.leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://mail.leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
