I send error messages from a client's foxpro system through SMTP via my yahoo server and it does not keep a record in the sent box.

It was not a hypothetical question. My customer sent out several (a lot!) of emails of which 15 failed. Even though I gave him specific instructions of what to do he deleted the log file. That prompted the question. I then noticed that I saved the response in each record so it's all good.
