Good catch Dan!  It was not a hypothetical question.  My customer sent 
out several (a lot!) of emails of which 15 failed.  Even though I gave 
him specific instructions of what to do he deleted the log file.  That 
prompted the question.  I then noticed that I saved the response in each 
record so it's all good.

Seems to me I've made that mistake before.  ;^)
