No there are two types - the ARM-based ones will run Windows 8 RT and you are correct in saying that x86 applications will not run on them. These tablets will effectively use Metro apps from the MS store and it's this one I see as having the best chance of taking off. Especially since the early adopters of the first iPad will now be coming into the market for replacements in increasing numbers. The 'Pro' tablet is x86 based and will run standard Windows 8 and therefore VFP apps. In my limited testing VFP applications seem to work on Windows 8 exactly as they do on Windows 7. -- Alan Bourke alanpbourke (at) fastmail (dot) fm _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/1340179080.1161.140661091587997.2d9b3...@webmail.messagingengine.com ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
