Why not swap your main HD for an internal SSD - that should help make
things run faster. I did it a little while ago - although I had to cut
corners since the SSD was 60GB while the HD was like 140GB.

However, boot-up is faster - as well as shut down - and even loading of
my main 3D CG App - which is a Resource HOG!
