Hey Ed - Thanks SO MUCH For bringing that article to my attention. I
think its GREAT when this kinda thing happens - the proper usage of
computing power and FINALLY folks that stop going thru REAMS of paper.
Something like this should have happened YEARS ago - as people claimed
that with the advent of wide usage of computers - there would be Less
paper usage. But, we all know the contrary - MORE Paper usage. Hell -
there are people in many offices - like at my co. - and I am sure at
many others - where people feel that they have to print out almost EVERY
E-mail!

It especially makes me Nauseous when I see how MUCH Paper, printouts,
and copies are made in my office here - when we are supposed to BE a
COMPUTER SW company! Even the outsourcing dept. - which does data
processing for Other companies - they are the biggest culprit. It so
scary here - that on the top of peoples cubicles in the outsourcing area
- they have Reams and Stacks of papers.

For crying out Loud - we are a software and data processing company -
and people should learn to Process data WITHOUT Printing out the Darned
Stuff!

Ok - Rant Mode off...

-K-

Things are changing faster than you might think, because you
keep thinking of them as underpowered computers instead of serving a
completely separate and potentially much bigger market. For example:

ancouver_city_council_50k_pages_a_year.html
( -or- http://j.mp/AtR3ls )

I almost never take my laptop to a meeting. I can do just about
anything I need to do with my iPad, and it's so light I take it
everywhere.
