I downloaded the Developer Preview and installed it. My initial impression is that we have here a new Vista. Everything seems to be pointed towards mobile users and tablets but that is ignoring the enormous installed corporate user base that don't use tablets, don't need tablets, don't want tablets but do need a keyboard for data entry. The desktop is still there but as the columnist says it is not as good as Windows 7. I think I'd better upgrade all my kit to Windows 7 whilst I can. Unfortunately most of my work involves VFP or helping people get to grips with Office or the internet on the PC they've bought from PC World otherwise I would be en route to a Mac or Linux very soon.
