I downloaded the Developer Preview and installed it.  My initial impression
is that we have here a new Vista.  Everything seems to be pointed towards
mobile users and tablets but that is ignoring the enormous installed
corporate user base that don't use tablets, don't need tablets, don't want
tablets but do need a keyboard for data entry.  The desktop is still there
but as the columnist says it is not as good as Windows 7.  I think I'd
better upgrade all my kit to Windows 7 whilst I can.  Unfortunately most of
my work involves VFP or helping people get to grips with Office or the
internet on the PC they've bought from PC World otherwise I would be en
route to a Mac or Linux very soon.
