That is incorrect. If inet_interfaces is changed, then a "postfix reload" (not restart) is required because the master daemon is a long-running process. Similar considerations apply when changes are made that affect the queue mamager process (for example, changes that affect concurrency management). Other Postfix processes have a finite life time, and will eventually pick up configuration changes. If you can't wait, then use "postfix reload". Wietse
