the domain does not have to be pinged to be able yo send/receive e-mail.
it needs to have MX and/or A/AAAA records, and you cant't ping MX record.
This is a trusted sender, can I somehow whitelist this domain?
I recommend fixing the sender instead, if possible. Nobody should send mail
from domain that does not exist.
