this is not about multiple PTRs records, this is about changing the PTR.
And before someone posts you can have more than one reverse pointer per IP the VPS (Digital Ocean) says it can't be done.
you can but it's rarely a good idea. And it's not a solution for the OP, because his original PTR causes problems, which means he needs to replace it, not to add another.
