A basic copy of the error message would help a lot.
Some guys here are able to port a Makefile within a handful of minutes.
OOT: Apparently your MUA lets pieces of garbage at the bottom end of messages,
I removed it,
and doesn't put a signature.
I suggest you to look for a moderner MUA.
