You are right, the explanation is with example email addresses (to explain the concept with my words) and the log is real. In the file "sender_canonical" is the first entry with "ttm@ttmsacer.homenet" mapping to the related gmx address. Based on the premise the file "sender_canonical" is correct, what could be the next missing point? Wietse mentioned that the Postfix cleanup daemon is responsible for rewriting the FROM address.
