check where root: is deliveing mails to in /etc/mail/aliases
if its delivered to an alias without @ then myorigin in postfix
main.cf will be added before delivering

remember to run
newaliases
postfix reload
but as you have not shown postconf -n yet i cant help more
you can find postconf -n in the very first mail of this thread :)
