you could do self service with another postfix server with longer
postconf -d maximal_queue_lifetime
it defaults to 5 days
if you really need backup mx then extend this setting to more days on
the backup mx server, dont trust other severs then your own
if you can fix all in less then 5 days you dont need backup mx
another reason for not have a backup mx is that spammers try to abuse
this backup mx more then the main server in hope its less secured by
less rbl / milter content filtering then the main server is
all in all dont use backup mx if not needed
