There's no need to punch a man when's down.

While I'll defend carefully made decisions in Postfix, I don't think
that a broad hostility to the OP is justified.  Sure, one message was
needlessly snarky, and I disagree with some others on technical grounds.

But he's backed off (be it somewhat miffed) and should not be further
harangued.  It'd be a shame if he avoids Postfix, especially if he stays
with Sendmail, which Postfix bests in a multitude of ways.  We do expect
the discussion on this list to not veer into hostility, even more so from
those who've been here a while...

Perhaps I should have made clear earlier that the information shared
by the OP, that was a recent discovery for him, was already well known to
Postfix developers for around a decade, and we've made considered choices
in that space.
