Actually this fails with CGPro as ldap source, exactly for the unexpectedly returned “error 32” when searching on the virtual DN dc=cgprouter for not exixsting mail/alias/mailinglist, ecc. So they agree to change such behaviour (correctly only for search and not for record retrival) , and this make all possible sense. Have a nice day.
