Looks like the OP made a typo when they orginally installed OpenSSL or had some 
port manager do that for them. Locally-installed OpenSSL include files are 
usually found in /usr/local/ssl/include and a symlink to that directory ends up 
(by hand?) in /usr/local/include/openssl. YMMV.
