Hi All,

I need some assistance to identify why Postfix keeps dying? It's happened
twice in the space of a few days.

*\\ When the issue occurs, we don't get the usual 220 greeting from the
Mail Server.*

root@cllxprmgtsmtp01:~# telnet localhost 25
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.localdomain (127.0.0.1).
Escape character is '^]'.

*\\ After we stop/start Postfix, mail starts working again and we get the
220 greeting.*

root@cllxprmgtsmtp01:~# telnet localhost 25
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.localdomain (127.0.0.1).
Escape character is '^]'.
220 smtp-cl.cloud.telstra.com ESMTP

*\\ We seem to have stopped receiving mail around from 8.37am onwards. *

*At 9.34am we started seeing the "private/proxymap socket: service
dict_proxy_open: Connection timed out" errror messages. Could this be
causing postfix to hang?*

*At 12.27pm, we stop/started Postfix.*

Just wondering what is causing Postfix to stop accepting mail. Does the
information above help. Are there other logs I need to check?

Thanks.
