In the choice between reject and accept-then-discard, whether or not bounces will be sent is the main determinant. Because there will be false positives, accept-then-discard will drop legitimate email. There is no such problem with reject: if the client is a spambot, no harm is done; if it was a false positive, the legitimate client will send a bounce message to the legitimate sender. Therefore, reject is the safer action. I don't want incorrect information on this mailing list. If you must spread incorrect information, you can do that elsewhere. Wietse
