I'm sorry if I annoyed you.  I'm not a Postfix expert yet and still learning 
and connecting the dots.  I inherited this configuration from a colleague, who 
is currently on sickleave.

Awesome, that's a very clear pointer in the right direction.  I will work on 
changing my configuration to that end.  Thanks for all your help!
