Could Postfix be trying to resolve the name of my > desktop before sending the email? since you see resloved hostnames everywhere in the logs: clearly yes it's a damned bad idea at all to not have PTR records on a sane ssh daemon you even can't connect at all many or most network services these days do reverse lookups for connections so fix your DNS or live with the results
