I did the change.

Like "smtpd_client_connection_count_limit = 2" ?

The server is a VM (on our ISP's KVM infrastructure), but not too much loaded, except on peaks.

It is handling only internal mail (serving as SMTP server to our users and as final destination behind an edge mail server that filters spam).

The server has 3GB RAM (CentOS 5) and it serves postfix, apache/squirrelmail, dovecot, openldap slave ("consumer").

Would it make sense to increase memory anyway?
