Thank you for the answer, it's much appreciated. I'm sorry to admit I had to look both 8 bit clean and 0xff up, but then again, how else is one to learn? As Viktor also suggests, I never doubted that Postfix can use other charsets, so for the next test I will try UTF-8 and see what happens. I'll return later, when Postfix sends out the bounce.
