You're supposed to share the result, not say "looks correct".  As
the reporter of a problem, you are in the worst position to say
that things are correct, because if you were able to see your
mistake, then you would not be posting on this mailing list
in the first place!

This would imply that Postfix actually does offer SASL AUTH service.

At this point I would like to eliminate you as the interpreter of
what is happening.

What do you see when you telnet to the SMTP port and greet the host
with

        ehlo whatever

Then we can discuss what is actually happening, instead of your
interpretations.
