If it "does NOT go over NETWORK", rather than being flippantly
dimsissive about what I "should learn", might you recognize that that is
what I'm trying to do by asking my questions, and explain how mail sent
from one machine (my desktop with postfix) is getting to the other -- if
not over the network?  clearly, postscreen on port 25 is 'getting' the
message ...

And, perhaps you might be kind enough to further comment at my
subsequent post which addresses using telnet over the network -- perhaps
I've failed to learn that also.
