Of course. I was simply pointing out that if you are going to fix this bug, it needs to be fixed in multiple releases since it is a long standing issue. And rather than just assuming it was broken in past releases, since there are some variances given all the new SASL code introduced in 2.8, I actually took time to verify that it was broken in the older releases, to save your project time. I'm sorry to see all that resulted in from you was yet another snide remark as I've come to expect from you.
