I use imaptest as something to throw against my Cyrus dev builds to check I haven't broken anything quickly. It's very good. Agree, long fsck times suck. Then again, we have very reliable UPS setup and multiple power supplies on separate UPSes for every machine. I think the last time we lost a single power channel was about 4 years ago, and I don't recall ever losing both channels. Bron.
