We need to know more about your application profile to be of any real assistance here. Given the 5 min requirement it would seem you're doing some kind of near real time notification via email. Instant messaging is a much better platform for this type of thing than SMTP. You probably won't run into the throttling issues that you will with SMTP. -- Stan
