That's correct, technically at least. (And as far as FreeBSD hiostory is concerned.) It appeared in (what became) 8.0. By the time http://svn.freebsd.org/viewvc/base?view=revision&revision=194262 was committed, 7.* branches had already been split from head. http://svn.freebsd.org/viewvc/base?view=revision&revision=195694 then backported to 7.(mumble)
