Back in those days, multiple instances were done, but they of course 
were much harder than they are now.

You have to decide whether the pain of upgrading exceeds the pain of 
not upgrading.

Personally I would recommend the former, using a SRPM from Simon 
Mudd: http://postfix.wl0.org/ ... it's not that painful.
