No, but you won't have the postmulti(1) tooling at your disposal.

Yes. You'll need to manually tweak "alternate_config_directories" if
you need "postqueue" and "postdrop" to function for non-default instances
when invoked by non-root users. Also upgrades may not automatically
find and upgrade all instances.

If you want reasonably current TLS support and a Postfix release that
is still maintained, upgrading is not a bad idea.
