ISP mail servers usually accept a large number of messages that most company's mail servers reject (e.g. only accept only email sent from the hosted domain). Unfortunately we can only limit the email till one point, after that we must somehow work around the issues...

In the days of spam-bots all around you should be more careful what to accept or your servers will be part of the spam problem and get listed. After that some 1000 deferals will be your smallest problem. If you have a large percentage of non deliverable mail please fix the problem and not the symptoms.
