Just to precise my need for information:

Is the Email address at exactly that place always (by definition of the 
logline format) the recipients Email address ? Or may there be placed any 
text information (i.e. in some cases the senders address ) ? The question is 
just, how and as what to interpret the information at that part of the 
logline.

We are just struggling to find out if there's a certain problem with 
Thunderbird (but almost probably, just the mail user messed up his SMTP 
configuration ffor his mail account).

The mail server setup itself works like a charm.
