No, it's a PTR record lookup on receipt of an inbound connection, it delays
the appearance of the Postfix greeting and therefore increases the total
time to completion.

 I thought that's an ideal role for Dnsmasq, I primarily want to use the
existing resolver whilst spoofing some queries, which is something that
Pi-hole uses Dnsmasq for.
