Ralf, looking at the log on one of the servers (Postfix 3.9), I can see this:
... smtpd[435179]: NOQUEUE: hold: RCPT from xx[a.b.c.d]: <i...@example.com>: 
Sender address triggers HOLD action; from=<i...@example.com> 
to=<t...@rcpt.example.com> proto=ESMTP helo=<xx>

You do not have anything similar at all or you find that insufficient?
