thank you.....
I have configured stunnel but it doesn't work, the external smtps server doesn't relay. How can i set up stunnel? Please help me! >> ok, i have configured postfix to sent mail trhough the smtp of my >> internet service provider. Now one user have a certified email account >> and he wants to sent mail by my server trhough the smtps. >> I have seen that with postfix is possible to use two different smtp >> but is possible to use a smtps? No, smtps is not standard. the standard is to use STARTTLS, preferably on port 587 if the "remote server" accepts submission on this port. to do this, you need the login:password of the user, and use smtp_password_maps. If TLS is required or desirable (recommended if supported by remote server), make sure to enable TLS for smtp (not smtpd). see the TLS README. if the remote server requires smtps, then you can use stunnel. check the archives for how to do this. > If user sent mail trhough outlook with >> smtps and pop3 certified account, without using my server, doesn't sa >> ve mail on my server how can i do??? > Can't you configure outlook to save copies on your imap server? I don't have outlook but if my memory is correct, this is possible (otherwise, it's time to switch to thunderbird :) > > Why isn't he sending his outbound email via the certified email > account's mailservers? I don't understand why your server is involved at > all. he said it: he wants a copy of outgoing mail. but there are other valid reasons. examples: - firewall rule blocks all outgoing mail (25 and 587 and whatever), for policy reasons - want to filter outbound mail - ... etc. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vuoi essere presente online?
